Look for food on closeout

When shopping your large chain stores, make sure you check for closeout items. Manufacturer coupons CAN be used in conjunction with these mark downs and can end up being some GREAT deals! Food items often end up on the closeout racks because they have a unique flavor that the store has discovered is not a great seller (that doesn't mean it doesn't taste good, just that people tend to pick another flavor instead), or because an item has been returned by a customer (its against the law for them to re-sell it at full price), other times its because the item is expired or nearing its expiratin date. That said, make sure you check your packages for dates and tampering before purchase. Below are a few pics I took to give you some examples. These examples happen to be from Target (and are calculated before 5% red card discount or bag credit), but you will find similar deals at any major chain.

Crystal light indivudual fruit punch sticks marked down to $1.14 each.
Making them $0.64 each after coupon.

Archer Farm chips (onion flavor) marked down to $2.08 a bag.
Making them $1.58 each after couon.
