- Recycle a holiday basket by using spray paint
- If they have kids, bubbles and sidewalk chalk are a nice add in so they know they are welcomed too
- Baked goods are always a plus
- Scented candle (if you don't have any on hand, you can find one at the dollar store)
- Take out menus (these can be priceless when they are unpacking their kitchen)
- A list of upcoming neighborhood or local events that they might want to attend (ie. block party on July 4th)

Welcome to the hood'
When new neighbors move in, its always nice to bring over a welcome basket. Making a welcome basket on a budget can sometimes be a challenge, so here are a few ideas of items you can use that won't bust that budget, but still say "welcome".
