Welcome to the hood'

When new neighbors move in, its always nice to bring over a welcome basket. Making a welcome basket on a budget can sometimes be a challenge, so here are a few ideas of items you can use that won't bust that budget, but still say "welcome".
  • Recycle a holiday basket by using spray paint
  • If they have kids, bubbles and sidewalk chalk are a nice add in so they know they are welcomed too
  • Baked goods are always a plus
  • Scented candle (if you don't have any on hand, you can find one at the dollar store)
  • Take out menus (these can be priceless when they are unpacking their kitchen)
  • A list of upcoming neighborhood or local events that they might want to attend (ie. block party on July 4th)
