Did you know that you can
make your own sourdough starter? Starting with some active ingredients is the easiest way to do it. You can get some for
FREE from Carl's friends by simply sending a SASE. You ask, who is Carl's friends, well Carl passed away about 10 years ago. One of the tings he was known for his generous spirit. Sour dough was one of the things he gave away. The starter has been going in his family for over 150 years. His friends have kept his legacy going. Of course at this point the process is volunteer based, and donations are being accepted as well. I sent for my starter on 10/2 and will let you know how mine does once I get it. The say you should allow 6 weeks for delivery, so if you send away for it now, you should have some great sour dough starter ready just in time for Christmas dinner. Homemade sourdough bread on the table....yumm-o!
