- Ghost - grab a white sheet (hopefully from a thrift store or garage sale) and cut holes in it for eyes and arms. Put a rope around the waist to keep the costume in place and wear over a white long sleeve top.
- Clown - Grab a bunch of miss matched clothing and buy a cheap wig. Paint your face white and put some bright color shapes on it. If your a creative sorta person, you can cut clown shoes out of colored paper and then use a hole punch and yarn to "lace" them over your current shoes.
- Yellow pages - Take a large box and cut arm and neck holes. Tear up a yellow page phone book and glue pages all over the box. Wear a yellow long sleeve shirt underneath and carry a toy phone with you for effect.
- Christmas present - Take same concept as yellow pages above only instead of using yellow pages, use wrapping paper and ribbon to decorate the box. Wear color coordinating clothing underneath.
- Lego - Use the box idea from the yellow pages only instead of glueing on pages, tape on some disposable cups and then paint the entire box a bright solid color. Wear coordinating clothing underneath.
- Pizza delivery person - Take a white shirt and use a bold tip permanant marker (or fabric paint) to write pizza on the front. Put on a red ball cap and hold an empty pizza box.
- Football - Wear solid brown sweats and then take felt and cut out laces for the front of your chest. If your planning on using these sweats after, you can simply use safety pins to adhere, if not fabric glue will work as long as you give it time to dry. If you have a theme hat for your favorite team (like a cheese head, viking hat etc), that would make it even better.
- Trailer trash (female) - Go the the thrift store and buy clothing that is much too large for you made out of polyester or maybe even a moomoo. Use a belt to put a pillow to your stomach. Put your hair up in rollers, bold blue eyeshaddow and red lipstick. If you can see your legs, wear knee high hose and roll the tops down a bit. Be sure to hold a cigarette as your prop.
- Trailer trash (male) - Go the the thrift store and buy clothing that is much too large for you made out of polyester. Try to get pieces that mis match if possible. Stuff a pillow into the pants (as a belly) and secure them with a belt or suspenders. Take ashes and put them on your face to give the illusion of not shaving for days. If available, wear "Bubba teeth". Use an empty beer can (cheapest brand you have access too) and a cigar as a prop.
- Tourist - Wear a t-shirt with a destination on it, shorts, socks and sandles and a fanny pack. Then put a camera around your neck for full effect.
- Cookie - Taking two pieces of postor board cut them into the shape cookie you want. color them and then secure the pieces together with yarn or ribon to hand over your shoulders. Attache ties to both sides to help keep the costume in place. Wear with color coordinating cloting underneath. If you lack creativity, consider wearing white clothing and making your poster board into chocolate cookies marked with "OREO" on it.
- Good egg - use cookie costume above only instead of making poster board into a cookie, make it into an egg shape. Wear over white clothing.
- Animals - You can creat a costume of almost any animal (dog, cat, bunny, skunk, etc) using a solid color sweat suit and felt cut outs. Just pick a color that is right for the animal and snack some felt from the fabric or craft store. If you are looking to add ears to your costume, consider grabbing a headband from the dollar store to glue them on.
- Grapes - Take a dark sweat suit (preferably purple) and fasten blown up purple baloons to it using safety pins (on the inside, be careful to only pin the tail of the balloon). Wear a green knit cap and cut leaves our of felt to attach to it.
- Bag of jelly beans - Using a large clear trash bag, put slits in it for arm and leg holes, then fill it with small inflated colored balloons. The fasten top of bag around neckline (be sure not to get the neck too tight).
- Robot - Wear grey sweats and then use spraypaint to make a large box silver for body and another for a hat. Take a permanent marker to draw on seams, nuts and bolts.
