Avoid ATM fees

ATM fees add up quickly. Some ATMs add additional fees on top of you bank fees to boot. If you figure that you stop by an ATM once a week and spend $1-$2.50 average per stop, you will have spent up to $130+ a year in just ATM fees. Instead consider stopping by the bank once a week and pull out the cash you will need and put it in an envelope. Keep track on the outside of the evenvlope where you spend the cash so you can plan how much money you will need to pull out to meet your normal spending needs in the future. If you find yourself short on cash before you next trip to the bank, consider pulling out the extra cash when you make a transaction at the store. Buying something as simple as a pack of gum for $1 is still better than paying the bank fees....at least you got a pack of gum out of the deal.
