Frugal Eats - Chicken Flavored Rice

The Prudent Homemaker has become one of my new favorite websites. Why you ask, because she bases her recipes from a frugal standpoint and instead of using processed foods, tries to make them from basic ingredients that can be stockpiled or grown in a home garden. Here is her recipe for Chicken Flavored Rice. Estimated cost for this recipe is just $.50 and serves 6-8 people as a side dish.

Here are the ingredients you will need to pick up at the store to make this dish. Then click here to go to her blog post and see the instructions on how to prepare it.

1 cup long grain white rice
1 cup angel hair pasta (vermicelli)
4 Tbsp butter
5 tsp Knorr Chicken Bullion powder
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
