DIY frozen garlic bread

Next time you walk past the bakery closeout rack, take a peek and see if they have any loaves of bread that would make great garlic bread. If they do, you can snag it up at a great price and make your own at home. Simply slice the loaf in half the long way and then mix up your own spread to put inside. At that point you can put the loaf back together and then wrap the whole thing in foil and throw it in the freezer for later use. When you are ready to cook it, you can simply pull it out of the freezer and put it in the oven (foil and all) at 400 degrees for ~10 minutes or until warmed. If you prefer your bread a little more toasty, then simply thaw the bread enough before baking that you can pull the two pieces apart and put it open face up on a cookie sheet and bake until browned (~7 minutes). Way cheaper than buying the prepackaged frozen stuff!

Here is the garlic spread ingredients we prefer, but mix the proportions to your families preferences -
Real butter
Garlic powder (NOT garlic salt)
Garlic/basil seasoning mix
