Now is the time to start planning your garden. Everyone one a budget who wan't to eat healthy needs a garden, some are just larger than others. If you don't have much room, consider planting herbs in a window sill, some hanging tomato plants or even a small veggie garden in a wiskey barrel. If this is your first time planting , there are tons of books and websites to help you with this project. I suggest you start your search at the local library and check several books out before you decide what to plant. Next, talk to other gardeners in your neighborhood to find out what type of soil you have. This will help you decide what is most likely to thrive vs struggle and you can plan accordingly. If you have the room, consider planting extra of the items that you like to cook with to can for the winter (we'll talk about that later).
