Kids love to eat snow, so why not let them get a bowl of the fresh stuff that is coming down, then pour a little snow cone syrup on top (make sure you refrigerate it first) and let them eat it as a fun snack. Of course this needs to be a education moment as far as which snow is appropriate to eat, but fun none the less.
