DIY Sugar Scrub

If you've ever been to a cosmetic party, you've probably tried those expensive handscrubs. This is a DIY version you can make at home to scrub those hands up for a lot less money. Depending on the size jar you use will depend on the number of uses you get from each batch.

What you need:
Small jar with lid
Dawn hand renewal liquid dish soap (the pink kind with lotion)
Stick or spoon to stire with
Granulated sugar (store brand works just fine for this)

To mix:
Fill jar 3/4 full with sugar
Top sugar with enough soap to fully cover, but leave room to stir
Stir mixture till fully mixed, you can add soap or sugar to soap to adjust consistancy to what you desire.

To use scrub:
Open jar and set next to sink. Wet hands and take a "blob" of the sugar scrub in your hands. Scrub hands fully before placing hands back under water, pay special attention to areas such as knuckles and around nail beds where dirt tends to get stuck. Rinse hands. Pat hands dry and apply a non-alcohol based hand lotion such as Eucerin (equate version works well) or Nivea and rub in.

Keep jar closed between uses.
