Save your clothes from the dryer "demon"

Have clothing that needs washed in the washer (likely on gentle cycle) but then needs to dried flat and NOT put into the regular dryer? Have you thought about using a dry erase marker on the lid of your washer as a reminder to pull it out before throwing the load into the dryer? Neither had I, but if it saves even one item from being destroyed (and having to pay for its replacement), its a tip worth sharing.
