Buy some dishes

You are probably asking why I am telling you to spend money? Well, I am telling you to spend some money to save you money.... As we head into garage sale season it is common to find sets of dishes for only a few dollars. Why not pick up a set or two of used dishes that you can stash away for the holidays or for large family gatherings. By having enough "real" dishes you can avoid the purchase of disposable ones in the future thus saving you money. Of course these dishes will need washed, but at a large family gathering there is usually plenty of people willing to give a helping hand as long as they don't have to be the host. At $3 per pack for paper plates, it won't take long to pay for that $10 set of dishes you may buy at a garage sale.
