DIY hooded towels

When you have babies, typically hooded bath towels are on the registry list. Now imagine those towels made large enough for older kids that don't cost a fortune...here is a DIY version that you can make with larger towels that work great for going to the pool as well as showering afterwards. Best part is that you can customize them for each kid, making them any color and as fancy or plain as you desire. Keep in mind that these make great birthday gifts. Click here for a tutoral on making them.

Here is what you will need to get started:

  • one large bath towel – any color

  • one hand towel – any color

  • scissors, pins, sewing machine

  • extras (optional): ric-rac, double bias tape, fabric for letters

  • hoody-inside
