Cheap trick to repel water spots

Why is it that when you get done cleaning your faucets you still end up with water spots on the chrome? I found a cheap trick on Pintrist to help with this, and its not one of those expensive cleaners (yea!)....when you get done cleaning your chrome, simply rub them with a piece of wax paper. This will help repel water spots and finger prints!
