- Walk or jog around your neighborhood to get your heart rade up and burn some calories. If weather does not permit, consider going to the mall before it opens or even talk to your local church or community center to see if they have a large seating area that you may use the outer ring as your track for free.
- Jumpropes are not very expensive and can be great aerobic activity.
- Rent and exercise video for FREE from your local library. Even if you can afford to buy them, this will give you an opportunity to try several before you invest the money in a video of your own.
- Use items around the house for weight resistance such as canned boods or jugs of laundry soap.
- Exercise balls are fairly inexpensive and can be used to tone a multitude of muscle groups. Check out an exercise ball book from the library for the most info, or click here to get a shorter version.
