Next time you make a receip that calls for shrimp, look at the weight of the shrimp it calls for and skip the size. Instead buy the same weight only of the smaller size shrimp. This alone will save you some cash, because the smaller the shrimp the lower the price per pound. I even have recipes that I use the smallest salad shrimp in, for us, that just means you get more bites with meat in it and I don't have to stop to cut the large pieces up for the kids.
