Did you know that you can improve your gas mileage by 1–2% simply by using your vehicles recommended grade of motor oil. For example, if you use 10W-30 or 10W-40 motor oil in an engine that is supposed to have 5W-30, you loose that 1-2%. If you don't know what your vehicle reccomendations are, look in the owners manual that came with the vehicle (typically in the glove box). If you don't have the owners manual, look at your vehicle manufactures website or call the dealership where the vehicle was purchased. In an economy where every penny counts, this is like getting free money.
