Cleap and free flu shots

Did you know that your county health department offers flu shots? As long as there is not a vaccine shortage, you can typically get your shot for either FREE or for a few bucks (to cover the cost of supplies). If there is a shortage, they will let you know if you qualify to receive it from them based on their guidelines. If you don't qualify, you can still get a flu shot from another clinic or your physicians office for about $30. The cost of the shot more than outweighs the cost of missing a day of work and/or any medications you would have had to buy either way. You will need to contact your local health department to find out when and where the shots are available this year. This is one of your community services, so why not take advantage.
