Make your own snack size bags

Instead of buying the snack sized bags of items in the store, consider making your own. Buy full sized containers of items and divide them into single size portions using snack sized bags. Put the bags into a simple basket making them easy to grab when packing luches. This process will save you money as well as help with portion control for anyone on a diet. If you are packing lunches for the kids, consider making an assembly line each week and have the kids pack the bags for their own lunches. Limit your packing to a week or two at a time to avoid items going stale before use. Here are some ideas of items you might pack to get you started.

  • crackers
  • pretzel sticks
  • raisins
  • corn chips
