DIY volcano

Wanna know how they did the erupting volcanos for their science project....here you go! Another form of cheap entertainment for kids on summer break.

What you need:
Empty .5L water bottle
Play doh
1/3 C baking soda
vinegar
red food coloring (optional)
Baking pan with sides

How to make your volcano:
Place empty water bottle on pan, then use play-doh to "build" volcano around it. This will help ensure the bottle does not tip over durring the eruption. Allow play-doh to dry overnight. Pour baking soda into bottle (you may need to use a funel for this). Add food coloring to the vinegar. Slowly pour vinegar into bottle until volcan erupts.
