Extra sunday papers

I have seen time and time again advice from couponer websites that you should purchase 1 paper for every person in your household. While I have not committed to that, I wonder what happens to those extra newspapers. If you have an extra newspaper, here are some ideas to consider after pulling out your coupon insets.
  • Ask a neighbor if they would like to read it. In this tough economy many people who enjoy the paper have cancelled their subscriptions to save money.
  • Ask your kids teacher if they need them for any upcoming class projects. Often newspaper is used in the craft room as table covers or for paper mache projects.
  • Use a crunched up piece of paper to clean your glass. Simply spray with cleaner and use the waded paper to wipe.
  • Contact your local pet shelter and see if they need them for cage liners.
  • If you know someone who is moving, they make great wrap to protect breakable items such as dishes.
  • Save the funny pages and use them as gift wrap.
  • And of course....recycle them
