How to get stuff for FREE

I have heard time and time again "you get so much stuff for free" and then get asked how I do it. Well, it is all about knowing what stuff (should) cost, clipping coupons, watching store sales/promos, knowing the store coupon policies and stockpiling. Of course grabbing those free samples helps as well. Frugal Chic Living does a post that explainins well how we (bargain hunters) work our magic.

Here’s what she bought this week and how she worked her magic (week ending 3/5)…
Motrin PM, 20 count x 2, $3.00 each
Baby Magic Wash or Lotion, 16.5 oz, $3.00
Aquaphor Lip Repair, $4.99
Valentine Clearance Candy, $0.12
-$6.00/2 Motrin PM from 1/9 SmartSource
-$1.00 off Aquaphor Lip Repair Printable Coupon
-$7.00 RR from last week (2 RR work as two coupons)
+$1.22 tax
=$1.33, Got back a $3RR for the Motrin, $3RR for the Baby Magic, $4RR for the Aquaphor
Remember – This is one of those situations where it looked like she might not need a filler item (buying 4 items, using 4 coupons), but Walgreens registers will actually count that $6.00/2 coupon as “two” coupons, which means she needed one small filler for the transaction to go through which is why she grabbed the closeout candy but any item would work.

Here’s how she plans to use those RR next week (starts 3/6)…
Always Pads, 20-22 ct, $2.99
SoftSoap Body Wash, 15-18 oz x 2, $3.50 each
Orbit Gum, $0.69
-$0.50 off Always from 2/27 P&G insert
-in-ad coupon for gum
-$10.00 in RR (three coupons)
=$0.18 + tax, Get back a $2RR for the Always and a $5RR for the SoftSoap
