Facebook deals

Lots of companies are putting their coupons out on Facebook now days. While that is great marketing, it can mean allowing additioal apps access to your Facebook info. Although Facebook is great about watching and adjusting their security settings, not all apps are. It is a good idea to periodically go in and delte apps that you are not actively using to avoid the possibility of your info being released. Here is how you can do it.
  1. Log into your FB page
  2. On the upper right hand corner, click on "account" then using the drop down menu, click on "privacy settings" (please note that this is the same page that you can use to adjust who sees your other info. It is a good idea to come back to it later and make sure that your address etc has not defaulted to the "everyone" setting. I personally reccomend you set your phone number etc to the "friends only" setting wich means that they are the only ones who see it. This will allow your Android users to pull up your phone number in their phone to call you but no strangers access)
  3. At the bottom of the page click on "apps and websites"
  4. Next click the "edit setting" box net to the apps you use section
  5. Now click the x next to any apps your are no longer using
