Looking for another way to cut the family budget...one night a week, turn off the TV and play games with the kids. Not only will you save the electricity of that you would normally use running the TV, but you will avoid that may more ads tempting you to run out and buy something. The bonus to this is the fact that you will bond with your family. Lets face it, we all have games at home, and could use a little more "fun" time with the kids. Think of all the great memories you will be creating with your kids!
Here are some things to keep in mind for this activity -
- Always do it on the same night. This allows schedules to stay "clear" and everyone to be there.
- Take turns picking out the games.
- I suggest no more than 2 games per night
- Allow each person be the "King" or "Queen" for a night and have first pick of what game to play.
- Ensure that games get rotated and that everyone gets a game that is appropriate to their skill level
