Operation Uplink
Operation Uplink provides two designated days each month where deployed service members making calls from their Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) center to the U.S., Germany and Italy. Land lines are greeted by a recording which states their call will be FREE courtesy of Operation Uplink. This new program replaces the phone cards that had previously been shipped into combat areas. Information on sponsoring a phone call to home can be found at the link below.
